marce norbert hörler (b. 1989, CH) lives and works between Berlin and Switzerland. marce’s work is based on extensive linguistic research, poetic writing and material experimentation condensing in performances, installations, textiles and fragrances. By staging the voice and other sensuous capacities of the body, marce explores systems of knowledge production, practices of sense-making and technologies of story-telling. Questions of embodiment and the world-making capacities of sensuous perception are central motivations in marce’s practice. Multisensory spatial and temporal dramaturgies elaborate queer notions of evidencing and producing meaning. marce’s olfactory practice and research finds form in performances, installations as well as workshops and lectures.
