in their collaboration, lucas kramer and marc norbert hörler work along ideas of the glossary and its performative and somatic potential in relation to archiving and story-telling. while the colours conjure a fecal remembrance of urine and shit, the publication uses the aesthetic of a newspaper with advertisement to retrace the group’s activities while typographically refusing to follow a linear and clear archival representation of those very performances. one page lists the glossary entries co-edited by all the participants as well as an ornate letter introducing a speculative method to turn names, words, characters into an olfactory composition via the phonetic alphabet. furthermore, it advertises tavi l.’s release of their album hunt all logic, which can be found online by scanning the qr code. the other page displays the doing by showing different flacons and statements to advertise the perfumes that would be concocted based on the somato-linguistic translation of each character’s name. the flacons, but also the olfactory compositions as such function as carrier bags and make evident the material aspects of forms of knowledge, their transmission and accessibility. the advertising statements open wormholes to other dimensions of time and space, story-telling gateways to understand the somatic and sensuous entanglement of the spatio-temporal both in the sense of the archive but also of hopeful performancefor an unknown future. in thinking about the doing and its entanglement with the performative of the typographical and textual, this work furthermore explores the reciprocal relation of language and body and consequently finds joy in a practice that is on the move, that shape-shifts in remembrance of the past and hopeful world-making of the not-yet-here.
